about: blank is a magazine that focuses on the work of Jan Tschichold and Max Bill and on the differences between their ideologies, particularly after World War II, when Tschichold revised his design principles. It consists of three texts: one about each designer and his work, and one that confronts their ideologies. The texts are made up of excerpts of other texts about both designers, some even written by themselves. These excerpts are identified by author and title using graphic marks present throughout the magazine. The texts are illustrated by images of the work of each author. We tried to avoid using images in the same pages as the texts due to the fact that they are graphic elements on their own, because of the indentation and different font weights used to emphasize the different excerpts.
