born in 1993 in a town near Lisbon, the capital of my small and sunny Portugal.

2010-2012: studied Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon.
interrupted after conclusion of the 2nd year.

2012-2015: BA in Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
graduated in July.

2015-2018: MA in Contemporary Typographical and Editorial Practices at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.
graduated in May.

things that really matter

I'm pretty good at using computer programs and take pride in it. I'm proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

I'm happier when designing books and newspapers or designing and developing websites.

My HTML and CSS skills are pretty good, but that's pretty much where my programming/markup knowledge stops. I'd love to know programming languages, though!

Branding isn't my cup of tea, mainly because I didn't do much of it at school. However, I'm always interested in learning!

I'm strangely good at googling things; really, it's a gift.

I love typography, whether it's type design, letterpress, or simply admiring typefaces for extended periods of time.

I am fluent in Portuguese and English. I can understand and communicate very easily in Spanish. I can read and understand French, but writing and speech is a bit more difficult.

(kind of) useless facts about me

I love dogs with my whole heart and have never lived without one.

I love reading and learned how to do it two weeks into 1st grade using math textbooks (go figure).

I've been dyeing my hair weird colours for eight years. Currently it's purple - pink - brown - peach - orange - blue - white - seafoam green.

I'm a test tube baby!

I'm a devoted Nintendo fan.

I laugh a lot and like to think of myself as friendly and easy-going.
